SCANPAGE.net is an automated website monitoring service by DC Digital Communication. By using the service you accept these terms of service.

2. Service Description

SCANPAGE.net monitors websites for changes and reports detected changes by e-mail. The service is a tool to help detect possible security issues.

3. Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is" without any warranty. DC Digital Communication accepts no liability for:

• Damages caused by undetected or incorrectly detected changes
• Damages caused by system failures, delays or errors
• Damages caused by attacks, hacks or data loss on the monitored website
• Inaccuracy or incompleteness of content detected during the security analysis
• Indirect, incidental or consequential damages of any kind

4. No Guarantee of Reliability

No guarantee is given for continuous monitoring, error-free detection or uninterrupted operation. The service may be changed, restricted or discontinued at any time without notice.

5. User Obligations

The user is responsible for the legality of the monitored URLs and the security of their account. Misuse is prohibited.

6. Plans and Payment

The service is available in different plans which vary in scope and price. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance, either by credit card (Stripe) or by bank transfer (prepayment). In case of prepayment, the booked plan is activated only after receipt of payment.

7. Privacy

Personal data is used exclusively for operating the service and is not shared with third parties unless required for contract fulfillment. Only data necessary for operation is stored.

Stripe is used as a payment service provider. A Data Processing Agreement is in place with Stripe. Data may be transferred to countries outside the EU/EEA (particularly the USA); this is based on EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent level of protection.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), users have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection to processing of their data. Requests should be directed to the contact address listed in the imprint.

Personal data is stored only as long as necessary for providing the service or to fulfill legal retention obligations.

8. Cancellation

Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time. The service continues until the end of the paid period.

9. Changes

DC Digital Communication reserves the right to change these terms at any time. Users will be informed of significant changes by e-mail.

10. Availability, Third-Country Transfer and Dispute Resolution

No specific availability (SLA) is guaranteed unless expressly agreed otherwise.

The security analysis uses functions operated on servers within the EU. Where third-party providers (e.g. Stripe) outside the EU are used, the safeguards mentioned in section 7 apply.

Consumers have the option of using the EU Commission online dispute resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr) to resolve disputes.

11. Applicable Law

Austrian law applies. Place of jurisdiction is Vienna, Austria.
